08:00 am, Pick-up from Stone town or hotel. On arrival at Jozan, venture into Zanzibar’s last remaining indigenous forest, part of the Jozani-Chwaka Bay National Park. Among towering mahogany trees and swampy mangroves, the rare Zanzibar Red Colobus monkeys leap from branch to branch, completely unfazed by human presence. Nature trails reveal medicinal plants, colourful butterflies, and shy forest creatures like duikers and bush babies. A raised boardwalk through the mangroves caps the experience, offering a deeper understanding of the island’s delicate ecosystems and conservation efforts. Ending the tour at 11:30am, and at 12:00pm, return transfer to your hotel for lunch and relaxation.
