The trip begins with 2 nights in Arusha, with an option to explore Arusha National Park, followed by 2 days in Tarangire National Park, home to elephants and ancient baobabs. You’ll then spend 1 day in Mto wa Mbu for a cultural experience with local communities, 1 Day in the Ngorongoro crater tour, and 3 unforgettable days in Serengeti National Park. The adventure concludes with 5 relaxing days on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar’s east coast, perfect for unwinding after your safari.

Day 1: Arrival day | Meeting Day

Welcome to Arusha! Your adventure begins now. Set down your bags, take a deep breath, and refresh yourself with a cold drink. This evening, you’ll meet your safari guide for a brief overview of the exciting experiences ahead. Enjoy every moment and get ready for an unforgettable journey.

Day 2: Arusha National Park – Nature Walk & Game Drive

After breakfast, begin your safari with a visit to Arusha National Park. A two-hour nature walk with an armed ranger lets you discover the forest on foot, spotting Colobus monkeys, zebras, and perhaps even a leopard in the treetops. Following a scenic picnic lunch, enjoy a game drive through the park’s varied landscapes before returning to the lodge.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Afternoon Game Drive

Today, journey to Tarangire National Park, famed for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. Begin your exploration with an afternoon game drive, where you may also see giraffes, buffalo, and even tree-climbing pythons. Dine outside at one of the park’s picnic areas before checking in at your lodge.

Day 4: Tarangire – Full Day Game Drive & Optional Night Drive

Start with an early morning game drive, the perfect time to observe predators in action and spot a variety of animals. After a bush lunch in a tranquil part of the park, continue exploring. In the evening, you may opt for a night game drive, a rare chance to witness nocturnal creatures in their natural habitat.

Day 5: Mto wa Mbu Cultural Experience & Local Lunch

 

Enjoy a brief nature walk at your lodge, then travel to Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant village near Lake Manyara. Savor a traditional Tanzanian lunch, typically made with locally grown ingredients. Afterward, a guided cultural tour will introduce you to daily life, art, and agriculture in the village. Overnight in Karatu.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Full-Day

Venture into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheatre teeming with wildlife. Spend the day spotting lions, rhinos, and hippos against a backdrop of lush forest and open plains. Pause for lunch at a scenic picnic site, then ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge in for the evening.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park – Arrival & Afternoon game drive

Today, drive into the vast Serengeti National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Later, set out on an exciting game drive in the Seronera Valley, home to a high concentration of big cats. Watch herds of antelope and zebra gather by the Seronera River before settling in for a night under the stars at your campsite.

Day 8: Serengeti – Full-Day

Spend the entire day traversing the Serengeti plains in search of the Great Migration and elusive predators. Depending on the season, you may see wildebeests crossing rivers or lion prides stalking prey. Return to camp in the evening. A hot air balloon safari is available in the early morning for a unique perspective.

Day 9: Serengeti – Full Day, Explore New Areas

Today you’ll truly experience the vastness of the Serengeti. Your guide will take you on another exciting game drive, exploring new regions of the park with diverse landscapes and ecosystems. This is a great opportunity to search for different animal groups and enjoy the variety that Serengeti has to offer. Depending on your preference, you can have a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot meal.

 For early risers, another optional hot air balloon safari is available, offering a breath-taking aerial view of the wildlife at sunrise.

Day 10: Flight to Zanzibar – Beach Arrival

After breakfast and a short game drive en route, you’ll catch your flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, travel to your beach resort in Zanzibar. Settle in and relax by the turquoise sea, enjoying the contrast between safari and coastal life.

Day 11: Spice Tour & Stone Town Visit – A Taste of Culture and History

Immerse yourself in the rich aromas and vibrant history of Zanzibar with a guided Spice Tour and a visit to Stone Town. Begin your day by exploring one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms, where you’ll discover the island’s aromatic treasures—cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and more. You’ll see, touch, and taste fresh spices and exotic fruits while learning about their traditional uses in local cuisine and medicine.

After the sensory experience at the farm, continue to Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the cultural heart of Zanzibar. Wander through narrow, winding alleys lined with carved wooden doors, lively markets, and historic buildings that reflect centuries of Arab, Persian, Indian, and European influence. Visit landmarks such as the former Slave Market, the House of Wonders, and the Old Fort, all while your guide shares the fascinating stories behind this historic coastal city.

Day 12: Safari Blue Tour – Dhow, Snorkelling & Seafood

Set out on the popular Safari Blue Tour, sailing aboard a traditional dhow. Snorkel in vibrant coral waters, visit sandbanks, and enjoy a delicious seafood barbecue lunch on an island. The day ends with a breezy sail back and a relaxing evening at your resort.

Day 13: Zanzibar – Beach Day

Day 14: Zanzibar – Final Day in Paradise
