Best time to visit:
- June to October – Dry season, best wildlife viewing, comfortable temperature and excellent visibility
- Mid-December to March – Lush Landscape -Hot and humid weather with possibility of little rain in December-January.
Day 1: Arrival at Arusha National Park – Momella Lakes Game Drive
After breakfast in Arusha, your guide will drive you in a custom 4×4 Land Cruiser to Arusha National Park (approx. 1 hour). Enjoy a game drive through varied landscapes, ending at the Momella Lakes, home to flamingos, giraffes, zebras, and waterbucks. Watch for baboons, bushbucks, and dik-diks in the wooded areas.
In the evening, settle into your campsite inside the park, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and fall asleep to the sounds of the wild.

Day 2: Mount Meru Hike & Game Drive
Wake up to the sounds of birds or colobus monkeys and enjoy a hearty breakfast at camp. Today’s adventure takes you to the lower slopes of Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain. You’ll embark on a guided half-day hike, traversing misty forests rich with wildlife such as colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, bushbucks, and a wide variety of bird species.
Enjoy packed lunch in the park, then return to the vehicle for an afternoon game drive, covering different areas of the park you haven’t seen yet. Return to your campsite for a warm dinner and a relaxed evening by the fire.

Day 3: Explore Ngurdoto Crater – Return to Arusha
After breakfast and packing up camp, head out to explore the Ngurdoto Crater, often referred to as the “Little Ngorongoro.” This ancient volcanic caldera is home to lush, swampy vegetation that attracts warthogs, buffaloes, baboons, and an array of birdlife. The crater itself is closed to vehicles, but you’ll enjoy panoramic views from various lookout points.
After a final game drive en route, begin your return journey to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off in the afternoon at your hotel or preferred location.
