Full Itinerary
Best time to visit:
June to October: Sunny, low humidity, little to no-rain. Its a safari high season in Tanzania mainland, making it great for a combo trip
December to Mid-March: Hot and sunny with occasional short showers – whale sharks sightings are more likely at this time near Mnemba and Mafia Island
Day 1: Mnemba Island
Pick-up at 08:00am and transfer to Matemwe beach. Just off Zanzibar’s northeast coast lies the protected Mnemba Atoll, one of the island’s most prized snorkelling destinations. Though the island itself is exclusive, the surrounding marine reserve is open for exploration. Dive into crystal waters alive with coral gardens, sea turtles, and shoals of reef fish. With luck, dolphins or even a seasonal whale shark might appear. After your aquatic exploration, a quiet beach stop offers the perfect spot to relax and soak up the Indian Ocean breeze. At 12:00pm, return to the shore for lunch, and at 14:00 hrs transfer back to your hotel for relaxation.
Meals included: No included meals, but optional light refreshment on boat.
