June to October: Sunny, low humidity, little to no-rain. It’s a safari high season in Tanzania mainland, making it great for a combo trip

Day 1: Nakupenda Sandbank Picnic – Full Day Combo Trip
Depart Stone Town at 09:00 am, by boat to Prison Island. This experience combines marine adventure with barefoot island bliss. Start with a visit to nearby Prison Island for snorkeling and a close-up look at the tortoise sanctuary. Then cruise to Nakupenda, a pristine white sandbank surrounded by endless blue. Here, at 12:00 pm, a grilled seafood lunch awaits, featuring lobster, octopus, calamari, and tropical fruits. There’s time to swim, nap on the sand, explore shallow waters, or simply enjoy the serenity before heading back toward Stone Town at 15:30 hrs, with the sun at your back.
